Cows on the beach, all very interested in me.
The real California Coast; Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey
I think I pulled off the biker look ok. It's a tough one to get the hang of: padded shorts, jersey, and such.
Some breathtaking vistas. My little camera didn't have a chance of capturing them with justice. The weather in Cali counldn't be any more picturesque. Where do all the clouds go?

Night three was spent on this abandoned mattress that I found on the side of the Amtrack rails. It could not have been a more comfy night of camping. Next time I go biking, I will have to bring my own mattress. The one fault of that night was that the railroad line was a heavily traveled one, and it made for some exciting awakenings full of flashing lights and rumbling crashes.

The Terminator

On day three, I biked in the opposite direction of a 3-5,000 rider race. There is a certain disorienting feeling that come about after hours of biking away from where everyone else is going. Needless to say I did not win any races, especially around noon when the Northern wind started beating its way south against me. ehh.
