- woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel; it included Croque Madame, steak and eggs, a breakfast burrito, and tofu scramble (the menu is awesome and we have thoroughly enjoyed selecting our morning meal each day, included with our rooms!)
- went to Hollywood and walked around El Capitan Theatre, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and the Kodak Theatre; wandered along the Walk of Fame
- drove to Amoeba, a ridiculously large CD store in which a band of kids was playing environmentally-conscious music on instruments made from recycled goods
- ate lunch at a Thai place in Chinatown
- drove past the Staples Center, where fans were gathering for Game 2 of the NBA Finals
- took a nap at Echo Park in Los Feliz, a neighborhood on the east side of LA
- went to Universal Studios to try and catch some stars on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards; got turned away at the entrance to the Gibson Theatre and settled for watching a street dance/stunt crew performance
- returned to the hotel and went in the pool, hot tub, and sauna before watching Game 2 in our room; Celts dominated
- walked the 3rd Street Promenade and selected Crepe Cafe for dinner; Roman got busted by our waitress for drinking sangria and she gave him a ton of attitude
- John and Roman went to see Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time while Sam and Greg went home to sleep
